Tim's sound design is informed by an MA Sound Art from University of the Arts London. Utilising a diverse toolbox of techniques, he is renowned for a meticulous approach to crafting detailed ambiences, placing as much importance on bringing out tiny, fragile fleeting moments as on painting vast, epic soundscapes.
His musical scores draw on a classical degree from University of Bristol, weaving together a love of ambient 80s sonic world-building with experience playing Balkan and Mediterranean Folk, Carnatic Indian Classical, Math Rock, Funk, Reggae and Ska. Tim puts his singing voice at the core of this musical palette, as well as performing cello and other string instruments, trombone, bass, piano and synths, to create rich, cinematic musical themes. He is also a songwriter and performer with Tashkezar, an Egyptian Psych Funk group.
