In Feb 2014, I was invited as a Sound Artist to collaborate with Dennis Isou on their Connect/Exchange residency at A3 Project Space, Birmingham. Dennis Isou is a pseudonym for collaboration between Newcastle-based artists Mark Bleakley and Josh Wilson.
Discussing and playing with the moving image, passivity and the action of spectating, we explored ways to mess with film sound methodologies, toying with foley, dubbing, and speaker placement through performative and recorded means. This research culminated in a new performance of their ongoing work, “A Crack in the Window” at A3.
